Be the Temple Explorer! A Complete Excursion to Borobudur, Mendut, and Prambanan Temple

 

We will discover the Mystery and history of Borobudur temple, one of the seven wonders of the world, which stands on a small hill around 42 km to the west of Yogyakarta.

 

The next visit will be to Mendut Temple with its great statue of Buddha seated with two disciples. This small temple is acknowledged as the gate temple where the Buddhists during the Vesak Celebration will start to worship from here, walking about 3 km to Borobudur Temple, to the Vesak prayer and celebration at Borobudur Temple.

 

Our other visit will be to Prambanan, the temple of the “Slender Virgin,” which is also well known as the complex of Lorojongrang, generally considered to be Java's most elegant and spring temple, noted for the graceful proportions of its 47-meter central Siva temple.

 

In the morning, we will provide a pick-up service from your hotel by go directly to Magelang Regency. After about a 2-hour drive, we will reach the Borobudur temple. We will have about 2 hours to explore the temple, then we will visit Mendut Temple. After lunch, continue our excursion to visit Prambanan Temple, and afterward we will return to Yogyakarta and transfer back to your hotel.

 

Disclaimer: Borobudur temple is a heritage site; to maintain the heritage authority limit visitors to top of the temple. Should the quota be fulfilled, visitors only visit the temple first level.
