Have a Journey to China Town of Jakarta to Taste the Peranakan Cuisine
This is an exciting excursion of Jakarta to taste the Indo-Chinese or called “Peranakan” Food that has been daily cuisine among the local people then so called the traditional food of which the original taste and way of serving cannot be copied to bring out elsewhere. Going to the destination riding the public transportation and then we will stroll around the China Town area, walking through the busy street of the market including the wet market and seeing the Chinese Temple.
Meeting point will be at the Sarinah Building on Thamrin street, from here a short walk to the Trans Jakarta station to ride the public bus until we reach the station of China Town. Start strolling with the busy street of the market including the wet market at the crowded alleyway we will start to explore the most favorite Peranakan food stall such us fried noodle, Indonesian spring rolls 'lumpia', palm sugar cassava cake 'getuk', rice cake 'mipan', fried meat ball 'bakso goreng', meat ball soup 'bakso kuah' green leaf jelly drink 'cing cau' and the unforgettable fried dumpling ‘kuo tie’. End of the food safari we will again ride the Trans Jakarta to return to meeting point and end the excursion.
